Fusee Dial Oak Wall Clock, Victorian, Lovely

Clockwise is proud to present another lovely clock for your consideration. This is a delightful English fusee dial clock from the renowned clock and watchmaker R. C Marsh & Co of Birmingham.

The substantial 8 day duration fusee movement has squared plates and the wire-driven movement is in perfect order having just been serviced and retains its original pendulum.

The twelve inch dial and original spade hands are in great condition and the oak surround and cabinet box, which has an opening side door and a lower door with working turnkey lock, are all in excellent condition. The brass bezel retains its tab and lock.

Richard Marsh of Birmingham worked at High St, New St. and Union Passage from 1863-1910.

There is a plate to the backbox with the details ”J. Schuler & Son”. They were watchmakers and clockmakers based at 127 City Road in London, operating during the late 19th and early 20th century so this clock has obviously been retailed from this company at some point in its life.

Delivery is available, please enquire for details.
